She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she's launched this season.

Hopkins wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Laura Ann Lawton, who scored a run while going 1-for-6.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sandy Creek didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 21 strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've posted since was before the start of last season.

Whitewater has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Sandy Creek, the victory also got them back to even at 4-4.
