Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Luther Prep

Luther Prep came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Messmer Bishops as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Luther Prep took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-4, 25-10.

Dakota Schlomer paced Luther Prep's offense, picking up six kills. Schlomer got some help from Hayden Strauss and her 18 assists. Allison Schupmann controlled things from the service line, finishing with 12 aces.

Luther Prep's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Messmer, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Luther Prep will square off against rival Living Word Lutheran at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Messmer is set to take on their familiar foe Heritage Christian at 6:45 p.m. on October 9.
