Basketball Recap: Sissonville Takes a Loss

Sissonville played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 61-33 loss at the hands of the Hoover Huskies. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.

When it comes to explaining why Sissonville lost, don't look at Max Moore. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jaunti Evans, who put up six points.

It was another big night for Dane Hatfield, who scored 23 points for Hoover. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hatfield has scored at least a third of Hoover's points. Riley Johnson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Sissonville has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Hoover, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
