Baseball Game Preview: Southwick Regional Rams vs. Amherst-Pelham Regional Hurricanes

The Southwick Regional Rams will head out to square off against the Amherst-Pelham Regional Hurricanes at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Southwick Regional came up short against Wahconah Regional and fell 8-4.

Meanwhile, Amherst-Pelham Regional lost 9-2 to Mount Greylock Regional on Thursday. The Hurricanes haven't had much luck with the Mounties recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Colin Beganny was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Caleb Sexton also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Southwick Regional has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Amherst-Pelham Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Southwick Regional took their win against Amherst-Pelham Regional in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 17-3 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hurricanes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
