Soccer Recap: South Elgin Comes Up Short

South Elgin saw some tournament action on Saturday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Plainfield North Tigers who were credited with the win. The Plainfield North Tigers got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the South Elgin Storm's three. South Elgin have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Baker and Callie Miller scored both of South Elgin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

South Elgin now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Plainfield North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, South Elgin will welcome Huntley at 6:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Plainfield North, they will head out to square off against Yorkville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
