Basketball Recap: Lloyd Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lowndes over Westover + How To Watch

Lowndes was the 58-44 winner over Westover when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots on Tuesday.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lloyd Johnson, who shot 75% from the field en route to 18 points. Tarrell Green JR was another key player, going 5-for-6 to rack up 13 points.

Lowndes has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Westover, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Lowndes will square off against Brooks County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 59.6 points per game this season. Westover and Tift County will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
