Basketball Recap: Atlantic City Beats Middle Township for Their Third Straight Win

Atlantic City had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 win over the Middle Township Panthers. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 56-50 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Middle Township's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Moore, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, Moore is now averaging an impressive 2.2 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamir McNeil, who posted 17 points and five assists.

Atlantic City's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Middle Township, their loss ended a 16-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-3.

Atlantic City is taking a road trip to face off against Atlantic County Institute of Tech at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Middle Township has already played their next matchup (against Trenton Catholic Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
