Football Recap: Green Hope Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four games, Green Hope finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a blow against the Apex Friendship Patriots, falling 35-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Falcons were not able to get on the board.

Nicholas Goulet threw for 52 yards while completing 73.3% of his passes.

Ethan McGarrigan was a one-man wrecking crew For Apex Friendship. as he threw for 223 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave McGarrigan a new career-high in passer rating (153.3). Cameron Fields was in the mix as well, providing Apex Friendship with two scores.

Having lost for the first time this season, Green Hope fell to 4-1. As for Apex Friendship, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Green Hope wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 27-0 win against Apex on the 26th. As for Apex Friendship, they have also already played their next game, a 28-7 defeat against Jordan on the 26th.
