Football Recap: Swink Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Swink fell victim to Springfield and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Longhorns 42-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost three in a row.

Springfield found their leader in sophomore Coltin Woodhouse, who rushed for 103 yards and one TD on only six carries, and also threw for 23 yards and one touchdown. Woodhouse's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

Swink's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Springfield, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Swink is set to take on their familiar foe Las Animas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Springfield will face off against rival McClave at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
