Soccer Recap: Varela Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Varela walked away with it. They walked away with a 4-2 win over the American Patriots on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Vipers: when they faced off against the Patriots back in November of 2024, they had to take a 1-0 defeat.

Varela hit American with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Daymion Colon, Damian Ortega, Anthony Perez, and Sebastian Abou-Kheir.

The victory got Varela back to even at 6-6-2. As for American, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2.

Varela will face off against North Miami at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Miami will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Varela surely won't give up without a fight. American does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
