Softball Recap: Lake Highlands Comes Up Short

Lake Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 18-1 to the Irving Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 last Tuesday.

Lake Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Irving, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13-1.

Looking ahead, Lake Highlands will host Richardson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Irving, they will head out on the road to take on MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.63 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
