Soccer Recap: Grafton Takes a Loss

Grafton lost against Smithfield back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clippers fell just short of the Packers by a score of 3-2. Grafton have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grafton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-2. As for Smithfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season.

Grafton and Smithfield should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Clippers will take on Nandua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (34 vs. 138). Meanwhile, Smithfield (ranked 20th) will meet Lafayette (ranked 70th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
