Basketball Recap: Carbondale Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Pinckneyville on Thursday, Carbondale came back down to earth. The Terriers fell just short of the Marion Wildcats by a score of 63-60 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Terriers still had to take the loss.

Marion got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ny'Aajha Curry out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Curry is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Khamari Jackson, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 15 points.

Carbondale moved to 17-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Marion, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Looking ahead, Carbondale will square off against O'Fallon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marion, they will take on Centralia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
