Softball Recap: Pine Grove Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hickory Flat last Saturday, Pine Grove came back down to earth. The Pine Grove Panthers came up short against the Kossuth Aggies on Tuesday, falling 16-2. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Aggies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Pine Grove saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Memory Mauney, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Pine Grove now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Kossuth, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kossuth, they will head out on the road to face off against Pontotoc at 6:30 p.m. on March 4th.
