Basketball Recap: BASIS Flagstaff Takes a Loss

BASIS Flagstaff lost against Ash Fork back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The BASIS Flagstaff Yetis were dealt a 45-16 loss at the hands of the Ash Fork Spartans. The defeat leaves the Yetis without a win on the season.

BASIS Flagstaff's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maleea Moebes, who posted ten points. Those ten points gave Moebes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Hall, who put up two points and 12 rebounds.

BASIS Flagstaff's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Ash Fork, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. BASIS Flagstaff will welcome Music Mountain at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. BASIS Flagstaff is facing Music Mountain at the right time seeing as Music Mountain is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ash Fork, they will host Fredonia at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
