Baseball Game Preview: Caldera vs. Redmond Panthers

For the second straight game, Caldera will face off against Redmond. Caldera will challenge Redmond at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Caldera took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They skirted past Redmond 7-5.

Griffin Sanchez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brody Whitcomb, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Zach Patterson was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Caldera's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Redmond, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
