Baseball Recap: Meigs Takes a Loss

Meigs made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Eastern, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Marauders fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Marauders in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Meigs' defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Eastern, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meigs will challenge Gallia Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastern, they will take on Trimble at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tomcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
