Recap: Saucon Valley Panthers vs. Salisbury Township Falcons
After a string of four wins, the Saucon Valley Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Salisbury Township 43-38. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Saucon Valley of the 43-37 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Saucon Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braden Weiss, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Grim, who scored six points along with three blocks.
Saucon Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6. As for Salisbury Township, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Saucon Valley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pen Argyl at 6:45 p.m. Hopefully Pen Argyl focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Saturday. As for Salisbury Township, they will head out on the road to face off against Northern Lehigh at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Northern Lehigh is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
