Football Recap: Los Alamitos Comes Up Short

Los Alamitos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Corona del Mar Sea Kings. The Griffins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sea Kings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Los Alamitos' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ava Seedorf, who threw for 205 yards and two TDs, and Katelyn Sheffield, who picked up 52 receiving yards and one score.

Los Alamitos didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jaelyn Guidry and Aubrey Won.

Los Alamitos now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Corona del Mar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Los Alamitos didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 47-0 win against Katella on the 5th. As for Corona del Mar, they have also already played their next game, a 32-6 loss against Saint Joseph on the 4th.
