Softball Game Preview: Northwestern Warriors vs. Indian Lake Lakers

The Northwestern Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Indian Lake Lakers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Northwestern will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Indian Lake, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Lakers on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Chloe Hager was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Claire Stott, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Northwestern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Lake only posted an OBP of .158.

Northwestern moved to 8-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Indian Lake, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-12.
