Basketball Recap: Madison-Grant's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Madison-Grant's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They strolled past the Blackford Bruins with points to spare, taking the game 41-27. For the Argylls, this counts as revenge for the 66-39 win the Bruins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Madison-Grant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jasmyn Rainey, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 14 points and three steals. Those 14 points gave Rainey a new career-high. Madalee Holloway was another key player, putting up ten points.

Blackford's loss came despite strong showings from Maleah Limle and Rylee Heiser. Limle posted nine points, while Heiser had eight points.

Madison-Grant moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Blackford, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Madison-Grant didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 90-14 loss against Lapel on the 11th. As for Blackford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-22 defeat against Lakewood Park Christian on the 12th.
