Volleyball Recap: Palisade Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Palisade lost against Montrose back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Red Hawks, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Palisade ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-20.

Darcy Imer paced Palisade's offense, picking up eight kills. Imer got some help from Lauren McClary and her nine assists. Audrie Cole controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Montrose to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reina Contreras, who had 14 digs. Marisha Lutz also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Palisade's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Montrose, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0.

Palisade didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Durango on the 18th. As for Montrose, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Fruita Monument on the 21st.
