Basketball Game Preview: Morgan County Cougars vs. Fairview Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Morgan County Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Fairview Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Fairview will be up against a hot Morgan County team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Cougars blew past Powell County 72-14 on Monday. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Fairview blew past Elliott County, posting a 56-15 win. That 41-point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Morgan County's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Fairview, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Everything went Morgan County's way against Fairview in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, as Morgan County made off with a 47-22 victory. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
