Recap: Station Camp Bison vs. Montgomery Central Indians
The Station Camp Bison entered their tilt with the Montgomery Central Indians with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Station Camp really took it to Montgomery Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-7 win on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-0.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Station Camp to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayman Graham, who rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Colton Overbey was another key contributor, rushing for 26 yards and a touchdown.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Montgomery Central to a paltry 151 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Station Camp's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out five times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Kyron Fielder and his two sacks.
Despite the loss, Montgomery Central still got an impressive performance from Anthony Holland, who gained 97 total yards and a touchdown. Holland was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards.
Station Camp's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 4-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points per game. As for Montgomery Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Station Camp will take on Whites Creek at 0:00 a.m. on Friday. Whites Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Station Camp is ranked 121st). As for Montgomery Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenbrier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
