Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jessica Li and Eva Bujanauskas Lead Glenelg to Victory

Glenelg's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wilde Lake Wildecats. The Gladiators haven't had any issues with the Wildecats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Glenelg was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-12.

Leading Glenelg to victory were Eva Bujanauskas and Jessica Li. Bujanauskas had seven assists and three aces, while Li had five aces and three digs. Li is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 28 games she's played dating back to last season. Tise Tokunboh-Salako also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Glenelg's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Wilde Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Glenelg will head out on the road to face off against Atholton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilde Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Guilford Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
