Volleyball Recap: Victory Christian Has No Trouble Against Haywood Christian Academy

Victory Christian won the last time they faced Haywood Christian Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cardinals blew past the Red Wolves 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Victory Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13, 25-17.

Marissa Sloan was nothing short of spectacular: she had seven kills, five aces, three digs, and three blocks. Those three blocks gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Smith, who had 13 assists and three aces.

Victory Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Victory Christian and Haywood Christian Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cardinals are set to take on their familiar foe Southview Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Haywood Christian Academy will face off against rival Challenger at 4:00 p.m. on the 18th.
