Baseball Recap: Almeta Crawford Victorious

Almeta Crawford saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Victoria East Titans, sneaking past 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

TJ Weaver looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Joey Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Anderson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Almeta Crawford's record is now 2-0. As for Victoria East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Almeta Crawford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-5 win against Needville on the 21st. As for Victoria East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-1 victory against Heights on the 20th.
