Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tonganoxie). They never let the Atchison Phoenix get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Thursday. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the Phoenix recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Emerson Maslak was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Wiehe, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Tonganoxie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Tonganoxie pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
