Football Game Preview: Bourbon County Colonels vs. Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts

The Bourbon County Colonels are taking a road trip to take on the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lloyd Memorial will be up against a hot Bourbon County team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Colonels' defense stepped up to hand Henry County a 28-0 shutout on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Colonels just coasted through the last quarter.

Meanwhile, Lloyd Memorial blew past Pendleton County, posting a 48-7 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Juggernauts' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Wildcats are ranked 206th).

Lloyd Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Bourbon County, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-0.

Bourbon County took a serious blow against Lloyd Memorial in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 42-12. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Colonels were down 28-6.
