Soccer Recap: Huffman Takes a Loss

If Huffman was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Woodlawn last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the Mountain Brook Spartans on Thursday, falling 10-0. Huffman haven't had much luck with Mountain Brook recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Huffman's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Mountain Brook, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huffman will head out to take on Clay-Chalkville at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Huffman are facing Clay-Chalkville at the right time seeing as Clay-Chalkville are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Mountain Brook, they are taking a road trip to square off against Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mountain Brook will need to watch out since Springville have now posted at least four goals in their last nine matchups.
