Basketball Game Recap: Vashon vs. Mehlville

The Vashon Wolverines beat the Mehlville Panthers 70-63 on Tuesday.

Vashon started the matchup off right with 37 first-half points. Mehlville wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 37-26 heading into the break. The Wolverines were outperformed in the second half 37-33 but had enough points saved up to walk away with the win.

The win bumped Vashon's record up to 16-5. The defeat dropped the Panthers' record to 20-6-1.

Vashon will take on Hickman on Saturday. Vashon has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency. Mehlville is staying on the road Friday to face off against Oakville. The Panthers won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
