Soccer Recap: Harrison Extends Winning Streak to Two

It was a proper cat-fight when Harrison faced off against Pueblo Central on Saturday. The Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 4-0 shutout. Considering Harrison have won four games by more than three goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Pueblo Central with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Fernanda Gomez (2), Adamari Mata, and Robin Tijhuis.

The victory made it two in a row for Harrison and bumps their season record up to 5-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those two matches. As for Pueblo Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.

Coming up, Harrison will face off against Mesa Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give Harrison their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Pueblo Central, they will challenge Pueblo County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pueblo County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pueblo Central surely won't give up without a fight.
