Basketball Recap: James Jasper's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Okeechobee over South Fork

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Okeechobee can now relate to. They fell 47-38 to the South Fork Bulldogs on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Brahmans in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Okeechobee lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being James Jasper, who posted 13 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaynaya'Ah Phillips, who scored six points and seven boards.

Okeechobee's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for South Fork, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.

Okeechobee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Fork, they will take on Belen Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Belen Jesuit has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three matches.
