Softball Recap: Ray Comes Up Short

Ray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Gregory-Portland Wildcats, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Texans of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Ray saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jewelia Vasquez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Ray's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Gregory-Portland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Ray wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-2 win against King on the 13th. As for Gregory-Portland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-1 victory against Alice on the 13th.
