Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jacob Radcliffe and Michael Swallow Lead Rocky River to Victory

Rocky River won the last time they faced Valley Forge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rocky River Pirates walked away with a 65-54 win over the Valley Forge Patriots.

Rocky River was led to victory by Michael Swallow and Jacob Radcliffe. Swallow dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards, while Radcliffe shot 4-for-7 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Swallow a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brandon Nazette, who posted five points and six steals.

Rocky River's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Valley Forge, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Rocky River will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley Forge, they will venture away from home to square off against Normandy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
