Preview: Manistee Chippewas vs. Tri County Area Vikings

The Manistee Chippewas will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tri County Area Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Manistee took a serious blow against Whitehall, falling 73-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Manistee has scored all season.

Meanwhile, Tri County Area's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Newaygo 81-76. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (60), Tri County Area still had to take the loss.

Brennan Grabinski put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 23 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Rykse, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Manistee now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Tri County Area, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
