Basketball Game Preview: Morrison Mustangs vs. Wethersfield Flying Geese

The Morrison Mustangs will be taking part in a tournament against the Wethersfield Flying Geese at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Morrison has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with 12 straight losses, while Wethersfield will come in with three straight victories.

Morrison saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ashton-Franklin Center.

Meanwhile, Wethersfield posted their closest win since November 24, 2023 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Riverdale, sneaking past 41-39.

Wethersfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Morrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Morrison came up short against Wethersfield when the teams last played back in January, falling 58-45. Can Morrison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
