Softball Recap: Hutchinson Takes a Loss

Hutchinson suffered their closest defeat since April 8th on Monday. They fell just short of the Holy Family Catholic Fire by a score of 8-6. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fire earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Hutchinson has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Holy Family Catholic, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-9.

Hutchinson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-3 loss against Jordan on the 13th. As for Holy Family Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 defeat against Mound-Westonka on the 13th.
