Volleyball Recap: Westlake Demons vs. Hathaway Brown Blazers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Westlake had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Hathaway Brown Blazers. The victory was nothing new for the Demons as they're now sitting on four straight.

Westlake walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-20.

Westlake was led to victory by Molly Moore and Chloe Vig. Moore had 15 digs, while Vig had 15 digs. Moore is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

Westlake has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Hathaway Brown, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13.

Westlake will square off against Howland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Howland will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Westlake surely won't give up without a fight. Hathaway Brown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
