Volleyball Recap: Davis Sr. Takes a Loss

Davis Sr. was the 2-0 winner over Inderkum when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell 3-1 to the Tigers on Thursday.

While Davis Sr. ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 19-25, 25-22.

Mason Rowell paced Davis Sr.'s offense, picking up 14 kills. Rowell got some help from Mohammad Reggad and his 28 assists. Finally, Rowell was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Leading Inderkum to victory were David Bui and Trent Jackson. Bui had ten digs and two aces, while Jackson had seven digs and two assists. That's the most digs Bui has posted since back in March.

Davis Sr. has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Inderkum, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-19 record this season.

Davis Sr. didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Rocklin on the 21st. As for Inderkum, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Rio Americano on the 21st.
