Basketball Game Preview: Bethel Bees vs. Piqua Indians

The Bethel Bees are taking a road trip to square off against the Piqua Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, Bethel came up short against Northridge and fell 55-46. The Bees haven't had much luck with the Polar Bears recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Piqua played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 44-20 to Butler. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while the Aviators are ranked 70th).

Bethel's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5. As for Piqua, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.

Bethel came up short against Piqua when the teams last played back in February of 2019, falling 58-51. Can Bethel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
