Corcoran's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 55-43 victory over the Farmersville Aztecs. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Justin Huerta had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 68 yards and a pair of scores. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles (0.5 for loss) and defending one pass. Cortez Portillo got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Corcoran, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Portillo, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Corcoran's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB 5.5 times. Leading the way was Miguel Salazar with 2.5 sacks.

Corcoran's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7. As for Farmersville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Corcoran will venture away from home to square off against Boron at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 986 yards in their previous games. Farmersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
