Volleyball Recap: Roybal Comes Up Short at Home Against Santee

Roybal unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Santee Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

Roybal took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-18, 14-25, 25-12, 15-10.

Santee's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Coming up, Roybal will square off against Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Santee, they will welcome Port of Los Angeles at 4:30 p.m. on February 28th.
