Soccer Recap: South Walton Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

The matchup between South Walton and Crestview on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The South Walton Seahawks blew past the Crestview Bulldogs 8-1. It was an even better day for Nate Lech as he scored three goals for his team.

South Walton's lineup was just a bit different on Thursday as Michael Codner got a bit more time on the pitch (40 vs. his season average of 21.2). Codner made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

South Walton pushed their record up to 8-2-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those four games. As for Crestview, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

South Walton will take on North Bay Haven Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Bay Haven Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something South Walton surely won't give up without a fight. Crestview and Navarre will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
