Football Recap: Brawley Takes a Loss

After soaring to 41 points the game before, Brawley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They fell 21-12 to the Imperial Tigers.

Although Brawley took the loss, they still got scores from Jacey Reeves and Kaylene Ojeda.

Mirella Barron was her usual excellent self, throwing for 249 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 33 yards for Imperial. Barron also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending two passes.

Brawley's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Imperial, their win bumped their record up to 6-1-2.

Brawley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 34-0 victory against Helix on the 29th. As for Imperial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-0 win against Mission Bay on the 23rd.
