Basketball Game Preview: Information Tech vs. Scholars Academy

Information Tech hasn't had much luck against Scholars Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m.

Last Monday, Information Tech might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Maspeth an easy 67-43 victory. Information Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Scholars Academy waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past Queens Tech 88-31. Scholars Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 40 points or more this season.

Scholars Academy's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.5 points per game. As for Information Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Information Tech was taken down by Scholars Academy 66-26 in their previous matchup back in November. Can Information Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
