Baseball Recap: Canyon Lake Takes a Loss

Canyon Lake lost against Fredericksburg back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Canyon Lake fell 7-2 to Fredericksburg. Canyon Lake's loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Gram Simpson and Michael Anderson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Simpson scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Anderson went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Simpson also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

Canyon Lake's record is now 18-9-1. As for Fredericksburg, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-8.

While Canyon Lake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
