Basketball Recap: Platteview Comes Up Short

Platteview lost against Crete back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Platteview Trojans fell 54-44 to the Crete Cardinals.

Despite the loss, Platteview still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Stehlik, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Stehlik a new career-high in assists (four). Alexys Mandel was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Even though they lost, Platteview was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Platteview's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Crete, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.

As of now, neither Platteview nor Crete have any future games scheduled.
