Soccer Recap: Nansemond River Beats New Kent for Their Second Straight Victory

While Nansemond River's win against New Kent wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Nansemond River have won by just one goal.

The win made it two in a row for Nansemond River and bumps their season record up to 3-1-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for New Kent, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2-2.

Nansemond River will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Great Bridge at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for New Kent, they are taking a road trip to challenge York at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. The game will give New Kent their first taste of in-conference action this season.
