Baseball Recap: Hooper Academy Comes Up Short

Hooper Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Fort Dale Academy Eagles. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Hooper Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremy Griggs, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Hooper Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Fort Dale Academy, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Hooper Academy by a score of 7-2 later that day.
